Monte Vista is a recognized National Blue Ribbon School in Southern California. With a playfully illustrated dog mascot 'Monty' already in place, the school sought an alternative visual that would better speak to the school's strength and attributes, while also appealing to the wider audience of the community. The new design combines a strong logotype, a bit of local topography, and the school's iconic structural facade all centrally balanced in a crested shield.
An additional iconic mark was created to supplement the new identity. This stamp-like form contains more than one visual read. At a glance you might see a heart icon, or mountain form surrounding the descriptive adjective. A second look may reveal a more subtle, unique read with the school's initials suggesting: "MV PROUD."
